about

Tickling the Strings comes from the great Hawaiian guitar master, King Benny Nawahi. He was born in 1899 in Honloulu. He performed in parks as a child and later on ships and on the vaudeville circuit in the US. He was also known as a "King of the Ukulele." He could play Turkey in the Straw on the Hawaiian Guitar with his feet. King Benny was struck blind in 1935, an unfortunate event with an unknown cause. He continued performing till the 1970s. In his free time, he set some long distance swimming records. and those are just some interesting facts from Wikipedia.
We love this tune and our version of it is mostly from King Benny with some twists.
